Roman Shabrov, Partner at BRACE Law Firm, participated in the Third BLEU–EAEU International Business Forum. The Belgium-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia organized this forum, which took place on November 15, 2017, at the Congress Centre of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
Distinguished speakers delivering welcoming remarks included Jean-Arthur Régibeau (H.E. Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Russia), Jean-Claude Knebeler (H.E. Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Russia), Vladimir Padalko (Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation), and Sergey Shukhno (Director of the Integration Development Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission), among other prominent experts.
The forum focused on strategic issues regarding economic integration between the BLEU (Belgium-Luxembourg Economic Union) and the EAEU, expanding the footprint of foreign corporations within the EAEU territory, improving economic performance indicators through corporate cooperation, and leveraging financial technologies to develop financially sustainable enterprises.
The event featured two panel discussions. The first panel addressed core drivers of economic growth, specifically establishing growth-oriented infrastructure, increasing the presence of foreign business entities, and viable frameworks for international economic cooperation. The second panel explored the trade and technological potential of the BLEU, focusing on EU market entry strategies for Russian corporations, capital attraction for cross-border projects, and structures for strategic partnership.
Prominent corporate and institutional partners of the Forum included the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, LUKOIL, RUSSEZ, PURATOS, and Grand Laitier.
